Well, another year of teaching has just come to an end. And what a year! Not only was it our biggest year in number of students, but multiple of our students also won art competitions!
In September, eleven of our students entered seventeen pieces of art into the AV Fair. In total, there were thirteen 1st places, three 2nd places, one 3rd place, two Best of Divisions, and one Best of Show!
These two drawings both won 1st place at the DCHE’s Art, Science, and History Fair. The puppy also received Judge’s Choice for middle school submissions!
And then on May 1st, Hannah and I had the privilege of watching one of our students get recognized as one of three high school finalists in a valley wide art competition. “The Rule of Law, and the American Dream” was the theme for this year’s Law Day at the AV fairgrounds.
These four pieces weren’t part of a competition, but they were featured in Heartland Charter School’s magazine!
Keep an eye out for even more art from the last school year. We are so proud of all of our students!
